Bahamas Out Islands - Eleuthra - Pink Sand Beaches

One fabulous beach at Harbour Island in Eleuthra. Pink, pink sand with very little activity. Resort hotels dot the beachfront but at higher elevations and are not seen readily from the beach area due to height restrictions. True to the Bahamas Out Islands, people are not in overabundance and one can feel almost alone on perhaps one of the ten best beaches in the world.

California - Giant Redwoods

The giant Redwoods in Northern California must be seen to be appreciated. It is quite difficult to put in words just how tall they are, and how wide they are at the trunk level. Walking thru the forests with such large trees really puts it into perspective on how we fit into the worlds environment.

Mexico - Mazatlan

For those that wish to see part of real Mexico, yet want to have some of the North American features, then Mazatlan may be for you. The old town is very mexican in nature with its Markets, roads and fountains. You can also visit the El Faro lighthouse (but there is quite a rough climb to get there). The Golden Zone has the newer condos, time shares and the best of the beaches. The weather when we were there (Jan-Feb) was just terrific. The bus ride from San Antonio to Mazatlan will never, never be forgotten.

Oregon - Coastal Highway

The coastal highway in Oregon, including Bandon and south to the border of California is spectacular in scenery. Many alcoves are featured and the rock formations in the Atlantic highlight the ocean waves. It seems to be that perfect place to get away from it all, and just enjoy the waves and scenery.

Texas - San Antonio

It`s not only the Alamo that attracts tourists to this area, but also the Riverwalk or Market that brings in visitors by the busload. My favorite is walking along the riverwalk, browsing the stores, or stopping at a sidewalk cafe to experience San Antonio's eateries. The Mexican influence is apparent everywhere and the visit to the Alamo shows you how close we really are.

Michigan - Mackinac Island

Mackinac Island lives in the past as there is absolutely no motorized traffic. Fortunately one is able to travel around using bikes and horse carriages, but we were able to see most of the islands fabulous buildings and sites on our walking tour. Plan on spending most of the day and book accommodations on either the island or the nearby ferry departure points.

Florida - Key West - Sunset

Sunsets that you can only dream of seeing. The picture and video clips on the web site were taken from an early visit (one of seven). Key West and the sunset go together, and should be enjoyed by all if the opportunity arises. Spend a night and take in the numerous activities but plan ahead for accomodation if possible.

Georgia - Savannah

Recommend taking the trolley tour as you are able to see many of the historic buildings and sites in old town `Savana`. Try one of the many restaurants by the river. A personal favorite of ours and the favorite of over 500 pages on the web-site. Enjoy your visit, we did.
